My wonderful team at Chicago Review Press forwarded me this great article at the nj.com site. New Jersey is home to Monmouth racetrack, site of one of Rachel’s big victories, so I am very happy the book got this coverage. Lots of racing fans in NJ! In fact, one of my favorite pictures in the book was taken by Bill Denver at Monmouth. It shows jockey Calvin Borel greeting several young girls, newly minted horse racing fans all cheering on Rachel. Girl Power on Four Legs!!
